Sax at your wedding.
Three points in the day where live sax changes the room: the drinks reception, the first dance, and the moment the evening party gets going. I play any of them, or all three.
Where I fit into the day
Drinks reception
Relaxed jazz and easy standards while your guests find each other and get a drink. I play from my set-up spot so the music sits evenly across the space, and can move around for a few numbers if the room allows it. Photographs get music in the background instead of silence.
First dance
Live sax over your track, so the song you chose stays the song you chose. I'll learn it properly and send you a rehearsal clip before the day.
Evening party
Two 40-minute sets over backing tracks, or live alongside your DJ so the sax lifts whatever they're playing. This is the loud one.
The practical bits
- Two 40-minute sets is the standard format.
- Solo saxophone over high-quality backing tracks, or playing live alongside your DJ.
- I usually set up in one spot and play to the room. I can move around for part of the set if the space suits it.
- I bring all my own equipment.
- I need a power source. Wi-Fi helps but isn't required.
- I travel anywhere in the UK. Travel costs depend on distance and whether an overnight stay is needed.
